Abortion – Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human Being

Abortion – Pro Choice advocates often hide behind the 1973 decision of Roe vs Wade, which stated that humanity did not yet know when life begins. In our previous article on the right to life in the Roe vs Wade decision, we presented hard evidence that a human embryo is a living member of the human species, and that this knowledge was well circulated before the 1973 decision. Now we’re going to look at what pro choice advocates have to say in response. You’re probably expecting some fancy semantics; some way for them to get around the fact that abortion kills a human being. But shockingly, they don’t. In fact, they openly admit it!

Pro Choice Advocates Admit that An Embryo is a Human Being

pro choice practicalethics Abortion Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human Being
Peter Singer, an author so avidly Pro Choice that he even defends full-blown infanticide, has nonetheless written, “Whether a being is a member of a given species is something that can be determined scientifically, by an examination of the nature of the chromosomes in the cells of living organisms. In this sense there is no doubt that from the first moments of its existence an embryo conceived from human sperm and eggs is a human being.” (Peter Singer, Practical Ethics, 2nd ed. (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1993, 2008), 85-86.)

Planned Parenthood’s former medical director Mary Calderone said, “Fertilization, then, has taken place. A baby has been conceived.” (The Zero People: Essays on Life” by Jeffrey Hensley, Servant Publications (March 1983) p 9)
abortion choice guttmacher Abortion Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human Being
And none other than Dr. Alan Guttmacher, founder of the staunchly pro choice Guttmacher Institute and former president of Planned Parenthood, told expectant parents that “a facet that makes the obstetrician’s burden unique in the whole field of medicine is his double obligation; he simultaneously cares for two patients, the mother and the infant The essential step in the initiation of life is by fertilization, the penetration of the ovum by a spermatozoan and the fusion of the two cells into a single cell.” (Dr. Alan Guttmacher, Pregnancy and Birth: A Book for Expectant Parents New American Library; Revised Ed edition (January 1, 1962)

Did you catch Guttmatcher calling the fetus a patient?

If these leading Pro Choice authors know that a fetus is a living human being, do they deny that abortion is the killing of a human being? No, they don’t. In fact, they urge the pro choice community to admit it.

Pro Choice Advocates Admit that Abortion is Killing

In a 1992 Interview with David Frost on PBS, pro choice supporter Norman Mailer said of abortion, “Let me say something shocking. I am perfectly willing to grant that life begins at conception… let’s not pretend it is not a form of killing.
pro choice abortion wolf Abortion Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human Being
Naomi Wolf, in her 1995 book defending a woman’s right to choose, bluntly urged fellow abortion advocates to “contextualize the fight to defend abortion rights within a moral framework that admits that the death of a fetus is a real death.(Naomi Wolf, “Our Bodies, Our Souls,” The New Republic, October 16, 1995, 26.)

The late George Tiller would offer burial and funeral services for mothers having late term abortions at his clinic. Folks don’t do that for blood clots and blobs of tissue.

The Book “A Defense of Abortion”, released in 2003, contains this disturbing admission by author David Boonin about a photo of his unborn son: “… This picture was taken on September 7, 1993, 24 weeks before he was born. The sonogram image is murky, but it reveals clear enough a small head tilted back slightly, and an arm raised up and bent, with the hand pointing back toward the face and the thumb extended out toward the mouth…. there is no question that the position I defend in this book entails that it would have been morally permissible to end his life at this point. (David Boonin, A Defense of Abortion (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2003), xiv.)
abortion pro choice faye Abortion Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human Being
And Faye Wattleton, who was president of Planned Parenthood for 14 years (1978–1992), said in an interview in Ms. Magazine that “…we have deluded ourselves into believing that people don’t know that abortion is killing. So any pretense that abortion is not killing is a signal of our ambivalence, a signal that we cannot say yes, it kills a fetus.” (Faye Wattleton, “Speaking Frankly,” Ms. Magazine, May / June 1997, Volume VII, Number 6, 67.)

Pay attention to the language here. “Morally permissable to end his life… A form of killing… a real death… it kills a fetus.”

How Do Pro Choice Activists Justify This?

The Roe decision was built on Blackmun’s claim that no one knows when life begins. The implicit assumption in Blackmun’s rhetoric is that, if he did know, he would rule to protect it. Now we know better. Now we know that they know that it’s killing. If we do know when life begins, then abortion advocates cannot hide behind Roe vs Wade anymore. Now, they have to take a new stance: that not all human begins have rights.

But how do they do it? How do they distinguish between one human being and another? Here’s where the rhetorical games come in.

Tactic #1: Biologically Human but Not a Human Being

Virginia Mollenkott compares a fetus to a severed hand. She says, “The fetus is biologically human only in the sense that any part of a human body is human: every cell carries the full genetic code. A severed hand is genetically human as well but we don’t call it a person.” (Virginia Ramey Mollenkott, “Respecting the Moral Agency of Women,” published by the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.)

However, an embryo is a self-propelling organism, it is not just another batch of cells. While all cells contain the passive genetic code, cells do not carry out the full and unique genetic program that drives development, and an embryo does.
abortion pro life condic Abortion Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human Being
Dr. Maurin Condic points out this key difference when she says, “The critical difference between a collection of cells and a living organism is the ability of an organism to act in a coordinated manner for the continued health and maintenance of the body as a whole. It is precisely this ability that breaks down at the moment of death, however death might occur. Dead bodies may have plenty of live cells, but their cells no longer function together in a coordinated manner.” (Maureen L. Condic, “Life: Defining the Beginning by the End,” First Things, May 2003)

Tactic #2: A Human Being But Not A Person

The other way they do it is by appealing to a difference between a “human” and a “person.”

While we’re playing semantic games, what does Webster have to say about being a person? A quick glance gives us four basic definitions:

  1. A human, an individual
  2. The body of a human being, being in one’s bodily presence
  3. One (a human being, a partnership, or a corporation) that is recognized by law as the subject of rights and duties
  4. The personality of a human being : self

Definition 1? Nothing gained there. We’ve already proven that a fetus is a living member of the human species. Definition 2? This one should make Pro Choice people uncomfortable, since it specifically references the body as the active agent. Definition 3? Still nothing, since the only categories of recognition include humans or groups of humans. Definition 4? Yep, you guessed it. Here’s where they try to play the game: personality and self-awareness.

Many pro choice advocates utilize definitions from 400 year old philosophy to define a person as someone who is self-conscious and rational. By employing this definition, Peter Singer even implies that since certain high level primates are more rational and self conscious than a human baby at a month old, perhaps newborn babies should be used for experimentation before these animals. (Singer, P. “Taking Life- Abortion” in Practical Ethics, London-Cambridge, UP 1981, p.118).

Are Infants Self Aware?

fetus alive 4d Abortion Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human Being
The problem with this definition is that it is too rigid; it cuts out far too many people that ARE, in fact, people. Folks do not cease to be people when drugs, hormones, sleep deprivation, or trauma place them in an irrational state. People do not cease to be people when they temporarily lose self-awareness, in sleep and other altered states.

Moreover, there’s not a shred of evidence to prove that infants are somehow less than self-aware. They respond to internal cues, they reach out for what they need, and they attempt to retreat from noxious stimuli, even in the womb. 4D sonograms reveal that they are soothed by certain kinds of music, that they recognize the voice of the mother, that they kick, jump, and swim, and even play with their hands and their face.

fetus alive 4d2 Abortion Pro Choice Advocates Admit Abortion Kills A Human BeingAll of this behavior argues for a certain level of self-awareness. But like everything else that lives, human self-awareness begins as something simple, and grows more mature and complex over time. So it is far more accurate to say that infants have a simple sense of self-awareness, and it grows into mature, complex self-awareness through the years. The self-awareness of an 8 year old will still be much simpler than the self-awareness of a 28 year old. Inversely, the self awareness of a severely mentally handicapped adult will be simpler than the self-awareness present in a mentally gifted teenager. It is a gradient, not an “on/off” switch.

Developmental psychology shows that the brain does not stop physically developing until at least age 15 (Epstein HT. Stages in human brain development. Brain Res. 1986 Nov;395(1):114-9.)  and that abstract thought continues to develop for another 10 years. Then, just about the time certain things finish developing, other things start deteriorating! The point is, the body is constantly adapting, constantly running its genetic program as life unfolds from birth to death. There simply is no clean place in the middle where all the “persons” are huddled.

So the jury is in: abortion advocates know that abortion kills a human being, and no arguments trying to distinguish between one class of human versus another are able to stand. It’s time we recognized it for what it is: abject discrimination.

I sat on a panel discussion regarding abortion at the University of Oregon. I was one of four representing the pro-life view. Dr. Hendrickson of the Lane County Public Health Department, an abortionist, stated that she couldn’t tell the difference between a pig and a human – embryo. The doctor then went on to say that I was not as intelligent as she therefore I was pro-life. I made a joke of it- stating I would try to speak in full sentences….

Yet, I learned something from that night. Now, I inform the crowd and the doctors present there are no pigs in the audience – the members are part of the human race. I then tell my audience members to make sure their doctors can tell the difference between a pig and a human being. You never know who runs the public health department these days.

Humor does make a difference in bringing a room together. The truth separates and divides so there can be little people on the fence anymore when it comes to abortion. The pro-choice crowd’s umbrella is shrinking because people are no longer comfortable with the true definition of choice.

    All the best,
    Jean Mudd,R.N.

God bless you for the work you are doing to educate people about the horrors of abortion. I have known post-abortive women and the pain and guilt they feel for years afterward. If only someone could get to them and tell them the whole story before it is too late. They need to know that there is healing and forgiveness for them also and they should seek it. They are victims too.

The “potential human”/”personhood” shell game has led me to joke that abortion advocates believe in a “personhood fairy”, who waves her magic wand and changes the “blob of protoplasm” into a baby just before the first sonogram.

It’s no joking matter? To quote Abraham Lincoln, “I laugh because I must not cry.”

Great blog post here, and your movie is wonderful. I show it to 12th grade high school students at my private school, and it is powerful and sobering. I would welcome more films, particularly more testimony from former abortion clinic workers, should that be possible. We work hard in my class to help students understand all of the relevant issues surrounding abortion, including the ones you’ve raised above. I’ve been reading more about abortion from the standpoint of what it does to women and families, and not just what it does to the baby. I would enjoy seeing more on this side of things.

    Thanks again.

I saw a device several months ago that could save a LOT of babies lives if used at abortuaries. It was a hand-held movie projector about the size of a fat deck of cards and costing only about $100. I am sure they are available everywhere.

Projecting scenes from your movie, along with silent scream and highest-quality ultrasound images would persuade a whole lot of women not to undergo “the procedure.”

And it is about time you considered that there are TWO patients at risk in an abortion–or more. How about telling girls about breast cancer, depression, suicide (no exaggerations here!) perforated uteri and the other horrors that happen to girls–and relationship breakups which hurt the men, too.

Now with Planned Parenthood exposed – many thanks to Abby – I pray many little lives will be saved. I cannot imagine how an abortionist, knowing that he/she has just committed a murder, can live with themselves. Such a defenseless little life, snuffed out. I pray to Jesus for His help in what seems, such a helpless situation – so out of control, and I pray it will come soon. We must pray for hearts to be changed – God help us.

The video is what it is-it speaks the truth. A living human being right at the moment of conception. Separate DNA from the mother. A unique individual. People can try to deny this truth, but with ultrasound we now have a window to the womb that tells a different story. An abortionist IS NOT A DOCTOR. A doctor SAVES lives-not takes them.

I’ve yet to meet one person who can skip Any Stage of their Life and still claim they’re alive -Conception is just as important as infancy, infancy is just as important as teenager, and so on and so on, all are necessary in the continuum of life. Pro-Choice advocates know this, they choose to turn away from the truth and serve the enemy of God. They made a conscience choice and they became spiritually sick. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

Joan Appleton a nurse who worked in an abortion clinic describes this process of how a doctor and employees lose their soul. The video can be viewed here:

As a mother of eight, I marvel at how different each of them are- even sharing the same genes. We talk about and work to prevent plants and animals from extinction. When a new highway was made near our home, great efforts were made to protect tiny snails, from millions of years ago, that were found in the diggings. These snails were held in far greater esteem than unborn children. An eagle feather has more protection than a tiny child! And in every single abortion, a separate distinct human being, never again and never before duplicated is destroyed forever. This future man or woman carried a blueprint given by God to do a special work on earth that nobody else could ever do in the same manner. Not only did these individuals become extinct, but their future generations also became extinct. One person aborted could mean that countless future generations are also lost as a result of that abortion. We will never know the gigantic hole abortion has made in the scheme of the world. We have lost forever great thinkers, scientists, artists, poets, teachers, missionaries, humanitarians, parents, friends and mates for our children, etc. etc. Our world suffers far more than we can even understand because of abortion. We must all get down on our knees and ask forgiveness and for an end to the greatest evil of all times. Generations will look back at our times as ‘the Great Holocaust’. Slaughtered U.S. infants greatly outnumber the victims of all the combined wars our nation ever fought. It makes me weep. It makes me act!

You are so right! I cannot my tiny brain around the fact that ONE-FOURTH of my generation ( I am 34 ) has been slaughtered in the name of “choice” and we are already seeing the devestating effects of the “murdered generation.” I wonder many times how different our lives would be with our brothers and sisters here. Were they supposed to be the voting politicans to outlaw abortion once and for all? Keep up the fight everybody. I have six children (soon to be seven) myself and if we teach our children to respect life and defend our unborn brothers and sisters, by numbers alone we will defeat the culture of death. We support life, they kill. My 10 -year old daughter watched some footage from the recent March for Life in Washington D.C. and she was shocked that people would kill innocent babies. She said, “When I have a baby, I won’t kill my baby” Why do 10 year olds have more wisdom than so-called experts?

Thank you so much for these blogs and the movie. I should have known from the beginning that it was all a shell game. I remember in the late ’40′s and early ’50′s learning in Biology that life begins at conception. Shortly after Roe v. Wade we were sure that if we could only convince them that it really was a baby, abortion would come to an end. How naive we were. Now we know that there were other motivations, so called over-population and the sexual revolotion. Man’s inhumanity to his fellow man is amazing. How much evil does it require to do these horrible things to little babies? Blood Money and this blog will be a great tool in the fight for life.

I will be getting the Blood Money film very soon and it’s encouraging to know that groups like this are helping America become more pro-life. There was a time when abortion was illegal in our country, and with God’s help, we can help make it illegal again. A popular argument people like to use is, “if they make it illegal, that’s just going to be more back-alley abortions.” Unfortunately, that may be so, but there is absolutely no comparison to the number of legal, government sanctioned, taxpayer-funded abortions taking place everyday. Please keep up the good work of bringing the truth out for all to see. May God continue to strengthen you in the battle for life.

What we have NOW is back-alley abortions. But the abortionists are no longer afraid, so they have grown more careless. They hate the women, and they don’t care if they hurt women. I talk to women on nearly a daily basis, that are suffering serious complications from abortion. Some of them probably didn’t survive.

To all concerned: NEVER, EVER call an unborn baby an “it”. Always refer to “him” or “her”.

It seems to me that we must stop calling pre-born babies fetuses. Even though fetus is Latin for little person, most people don’t know that and the word fetus brings a connotation of less than fully human. Yes, it is a word game, but, when we show women little models of what a 10 week old pre-born baby looks like, they often think twice about going into the abortion mill and take the card to COLFs and get an ultrasound that often really changes their minds. We use the term pre-born baby at the prayer vigils at abortion mills.

I also believe Janet Smith who says we can never end abortion until we also expose the truth about contraception.
My conscience was formed about the entire life issue about five years ago. I used to be on the other side. I didn’t know I was pro-death…I just believed the rhetoric “that no one can tell a woman what to do with her body”… and when someone challenged me on the humanity of the fetus I just ignorantly said no one could prove it. I was wrong, and I’m sorry.

I think most people know that they are killing an actual human. Although I have to say that some of the wording you quote above is pretty shocking. For example, “Hit man?” How can they live with themselves when they know they are hit men? My take on the pro-abortion people is that they have incredible pain or guilt over the whole thing that stems from their own experience with abortion or with that of someone close to them. They usually make the decision because they think they are trapped with no other choice. Then they suffer the guilt, so they strike out in anger and arguments in order to justify themselves. Maybe if we address their pain and talk about other alternatives for the baby to live, we can help them change their view. I don’t know; sometimes it seems so hopeless. Either way, we need to pray, pray, pray – for ourselves to be forgiving and to never be complacent; and for them to realize what they are doing.

This is a terrific post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, step by step.

I have worked with pro-life folks for years now. I used to be pro-choice. Then I did an online search for “aborted babies.” It stopped being about CHOICE at that point, for me, and turned to: “Is it really okay to murder a child? For our own selfish gain or for fear or for medical research and body parts or for … any old reason at all? Why? Why is that okay? Says who?”

Most folks I talk to now, who continue to be pro-choice, hide behind legality. You are right. I reply, “Yeah. It’s legal. Owning Black people used to be legal, too. So was everything Hitler did in Germany to the Jews. Being legal does not = moral, ethical or justifiable. Stand up for what is RIGHT. Not for what is LEGAL.”

I now counsel post-abortive women. Even ten years later, many of these women tear up just thinking about what they did – the smells of the building and the bodies, the coldness that took over their hearts as they iced over the feelings and the awareness that they were willfully stopping their own child’s heart from beating. It’s all very, very sad. After having more kids they wonder…”What if there had been a sibling for my child, now? What then? What if I’d just stuck it out?” But you can’t go back. Abortion is one choice that can never be un-done.

On another note, I gave birth to my son 12 years ago. Unwed and scared out of my mind…I decided to allow God to take over and run the course of “what might be.” There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t thank the heavens for THAT choice. The choice to stick it out, accept responsibility for my choices and for my kid. He’s a little ray on heavily sunshine in my day (even when he drives me nuts). ;-)

Thanks for the post. You give us all a little hope – that humanity will some day turn from it’s destructive and harmful, self centered, murderous ways to a faith in…”what could be.”

There is a much larger agenda at play today than abortion. It is certainly a major battle front, but there are many who support abortion who also support the idea that any life that cannot contribute to society is a waste i.e. the elderly, mentally ill, fatally or severely ill. Which makes it so reasonable (on a certainly level) that they are willing to admit that an unborn baby is in fact a life, but one that is unworthy of our attention or protection. Many would like to see any human who cannot contribute to society be gone and “stop bothering humanity”. In their minds if society can justify killing an unborn baby then the rest of “useless humanity” can also be “justly” gotten rid of. Although there is this less prominent thought process trying to filter its way into society, I truly believe that abortion is the gateway for them. It is a keystone in their efforts to create a society where people choose what life is valuable and what life is unnecessary. The battle to end abortion is clearly important in its own right, but it extends far beyond protecting a sweet baby’s life to protecting the life of every human being. This makes it even more important that we bring the truth of God’s purposes and love for us to the blinded people of our realm of influence.

When my second son died, my only daughter was a four month old baby in my womb. As I laid in my bed alone that night, after all the commotion sort of had quieted down about my son’s sudden death, two days after his 17th administration of chemo therapy series for a cancer caused by vaccines, my foetal daughter gave me a mighty kick (when I had told my then 3 year old son that I was pregnant, he foretold she would be a girl…). Her extraordinarely strong kick clearly was a message: she was still there, and we were in this together.
Right after she was born, she looked me straight into the eye. Again it was a clear message: “Ah, this is what you look like on the outside, AND we have been through a lot together already…”
I would love to have the makers of the film ‘Blood Money’ in my radio show in the Netherlands. Two hours straight, no commercial breaks, www.argusoogradio.org on Sundays… Afterwards a downloadable mp3, available around the globe!

This is a fabulous post, I just love it. I just wish it could be more out there, like the newspapers and the news. Where everyone would understand the evils of abortion. And you are right, this does link into other realms of society like euthansia, which they are going to put a 1yr to death monday in canada for what I don’t know. I heard it on revelant Radio which gives you all the update news and is very prolife. I even heard on there that doctors got there parents to take away food and water to these babies because they had some medical problem and there was about 5 different children. The doctor on the radio said to the medical students whom he was teaching to be prepared to watch the faces of the parents as they see their children starve to death and dehydrate. This is a very cold and unfeeling world we are in. We need to pray pray pray, the rosary helps alot and is very powerful in this regard. We can change the world through prayer and fasting which makes prayer even more powerful. This is the only way we are going to save humanity and this crazy world we live in is to live the life of Christ. Amen

Brian commented: “A popular argument people like to use is, ‘if they make it illegal, that’s just going to be more back-alley abortions’.” How true, Brian. I have a personal response to this one, though…

When my grandmother conceived my mother in 1931, abortion was a “back-alley” thing indeed. My grandmother didn’t want her baby (my mother), so she went to such a place with a pregnant friend who also wanted to abort. The friend went in first, and when she came out of the room, told my very hygiene- and germ-conscious grandmother how filthy and unsanitary the equipment and conditions were in the abortionist’s room. THAT is what changed my grandmother’s mind! She left the place, and several months later my mother was born.

The point of this true story is this: IF ABORTION HAD BEEN LEGAL IN 1931, I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN BORN, BECAUSE MY MOTHER WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BORN! (My grandmother most certainly would have gone to a sanitary, legal abortuary to abort my mother.)

God bless and help us all.

I have lost my faith in humanity. I am sad and sickened by the 55 million babies aborted in this country alone, since 1973. I had two abortions one when I was 17 and again at 26. I have suffered self loathing for years 34 to be exact. I can recall every minute of the most horrifying things I have ever done. It haunts me.

I have been blessed by God that I did not turn to drugs or alcohol but have suffered 2 failed marriages and many relationships that have suffered because of my selfishness. After 30 years of not being able to forgive myself I finally did when I realized that if God can forgive me then I must allow myself to forgive me because to not do so would mean I am better than God. When I awoke the next morning after a talk with God I felt the very real weight lifted off of my shoulder’s. I could breathe again. I am deeply disturbed and hurt by my actions but I try to have compassion for women who have also been down this road. Someday Lord willing I will be reunited with my children and I pray they will forgive me. I wish I could take it back.

I like what you said, and feel all of this is true. One additional point is that twins interact in the womb, as depicted in 4D ultrasound and shown on a National Geographic documentary re. this (“Twins in the Womb”). Also, in a video I saw of an abortion, the babies struggle to live. It is their choice to live! We should give the babies their choice and give them the life they so deserve to receive, even if they are adopted. I know many happy people who were adopted (both parents and children). A friend of mine from Spain emailed me to say that Spain has banned this film, because they think it is too graphic. How ironic that abortion is legal, but a well-done truthful film without impurity is not legal.

It always saddens me to see pro-life people call people who support abortion, pro-choice. Abortion is what women do when they feel they have no choice. We help pro-abortion people perpetuate the lie when we call them what they “prefer” to be called.

I read every one of the previous comments, and agree with them all, especially Bethany’s, who said abortion is a small part of an overall agenda to eliminate other “unproductive” members of society. It’s already happening in other countries, and is being discussed in open forum on CBC here in Canada.

I seriously want this BloodMoney video, but cannot buy it online. Is there any address I can get it through the mail with a money order or cheque? I would buy 2 copies right off the bat if I can only pay by post. I know others who would buy one too, if they could do the same.

Now for my own comments on this subject. As a teen, I watched a film called “Silent Scream”, a brutal facing up to the reality of the very real feelings of unborn children. Later, God supplied me with a book called “Who Broke the Baby?”, a book that explained the falsehoods pro-”choice” activists use to make people believe “the lie”, and a look at the humanness of the unborn, so obvious that the three year old of the author could recognize an aborted infant as a human being! Hence the title. And friends of ours were foster parents to several disabled children for many years, one of whom was a failed abortion victim! He was the perfect argument that abortion kills a human being! If he hadn’t been a human being when they tried to kill him, he wouldn’t have been a human being later on after he was born!

When my eldest son was writing an essay on this subject, I saw those horrifying pictures of aborted babies, and wept. How can people DO these things and continue as if nothing is wrong? How can they look in the mirror every morning, knowing they’re going to do the same wicked acts again today? Unless these people are at the stage of reprobation described in Romans 1:28, where God has given them over to a reprobate mind. Now they no longer know or care that what they’re doing is wrong. Very sad.

Keep up your good work, and may the Lord Jesus Christ bless you in it. The world needs to hear these things.

    Hi there,

    I have a unique situation and am asking for like-minded people’s advice…

My friend has just discovered she is carrying a still-birth baby. The doctors have suggested essentially an abortion to remove the already dead child from her womb… is this wrong? She’s on the fence because she’s a Christian, as am I. I believe there should be no problem with this, considering there is no heartbeat, movement, or any sign of life with the child… But what do YOU all think?

I would verify the baby has passed with a second doctors opinion, but if the baby is confirmed dead, there is nothing ethically or biblically wrong with the procedure if the baby is indeed dead. The other option is to allow it to pass naturally, but this can potentially cause severe infection.

I am not a doctor, you probably want to get a second opinion from a doctor.

If the child is already dead, then there is nothing wrong with removing him from her body – it sounds necessary for her health, and can do him no harm. I am sorry for her loss, and I will pray for both mother and child. God bless.

      The problem with this is
      1) Where is the money going? To an abortionist or to a Pro-Life doctor? Chances are, a Pro-Life doctor will not have the tools to carry out an abortion, and you want to make sure you are not supporting an abortionist.
      2) Find out what care will be taken with the little one. Abortion procedures do not respect the body of the baby, and therefore often will tear the baby apart limb by limb, suction it out into little bits, or use poison.
      3) Abortion procedures are not just killing a child, but they are not safe for the mother. A Pro-Choice doctor may not tell you the whole truth regarding the safety of the procedure in question.

I suggest you find a Pro-Life doctor in your area. There may be other more natural options to remove the child. If possible, the family may even wish to have a Christian funeral. http://onemoresoul.com/ is a Catholic site which has a browser to look for a Pro-Life doctor in your area.

My fiance’ is such a simple beautiful man and he is right. He does not understand how there exists a debate at all among intelligent human beings. The answer, of course, is that the pro-abortion side is not debating from a position of intelligence. From that position, my fiance’ is right, there does not exist a debate. Their argument is merely the manifestation of self-hatred and a profound hatred of human life, which is, of course, very sad, and unfortunatley for us as a race, very common.

Like it or not, what you say is true, and they themselves are not trying to hide it.

It is time to connect the dots. While we must admit that many defend abortion for emotional and “rational”(ized) reasons, there is at least a small but powerful contingent who are promoting and performing abortions because it is a satanic sacrifice. This is one reason the “debate” is not the sole thing that wins the day. There is a spiritual stronghold (cf. 2 Kings 3:27). And spiritual strongholds must be fought with spiritual weapons (2 Cor. 10:3ff). This will affect rhetoric and politics, but will not be conquered solely by actions in those spheres alone.

I am a person who used to be pro-choice, but through the grace of God and the gentle encourgement of a Christian friend, became pro-life. When I was a teen I became pregnant and wanted nothing more than to make it all go away. Fortunately, my parents were avidly pro-life and I was too young to obtain an abortion on my own, so I had my son. Two years later, he was diagnosed with autism, and I was so angry at God. I thought, “Why did you give me a child with a profound disability?” It was not until he was older and recovering from autism that I received my answer. He was 17 years old this month, and I thank God and my parents for his life. He no longer meets the medical criteria for autism, another miracle. So many families who know us and have received a similar diagnosis tell us how much hope my son gives them. They look at his life and are comforted with the possibilities. He is an inspiration to our entire community, and now raises money for others with autism. I now believe that this is the purpose of his life, to be a testimony. I shudder to think that I could have ended this promising life, and I am so thankful that I do not have to live with the guilt of an abortion.
